RHF wins Hamdan-ICESCO Prize for Voluntary Development of Education Facilities

HM the King’s Personal Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Board of Trustees Chairman of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has affirmed that charitable work in the kingdom emanates from the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the RHF Honorary President.

HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted HM the King’s interest in charitable and humanitarian work in Bahrain and abroad, citing the royal constant directives to quickly provide assistance to those in need in various countries.

His Highness commended the constant keenness of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support humanitarian and charitable work.

HH Shaikh Nasser made the statements following the success of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation in winning the Hamdan-ICESCO Prize for Voluntary Development of Education Facilities in the Islamic world.

HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the exploit reflects HM King Hamad’s interest in including the educational aspect in charitable and humanitarian work inside and outside the kingdom.

It also reflects the extent of the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom to various peoples who suffer from the pain of conflicts, wars and natural disasters, HH said.

HH Shaikh Nasser asserted that while assisting the afflicted people, the kingdom has been keen to establish educational projects to raise the quality of education, as well as increase the level of enlightenment and education in the societies of the Islamic world, to contribute to ensuring a better future for the children of those countries.

HH Shaikh Nasser paid tribute to the RHF’s executive management and staff for the roles they play in the delivery of humanitarian aid in Bahrain and abroad, lauding the kind contributions of Bahraini people to the RHF’s humanitarian activities.

The prize was awarded to the RHF during a prize distribution ceremony held in Rabat, Morocco.

HH Shaikh Rashed bin Hamdan Al Maktoum, Supreme President of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance, and Dr. Salim M. AlMalik, Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), presented the Hamdan-ICESCO Prize for Voluntary Development of Education Facilities in the Islamic world to the RHF Secretary-General, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed.

Dr. Al-Sayed extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his fatherly care for the RHF, praising the unlimited support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and commending HH Shaikh Nasser’s efforts.

He highlighted the numerous humanitarian and developmental achievements of the RHF in Bahrain, Somalia, Gaza, Jerusalem, Gaza, Jordan and Egypt, which entitled it to win the third edition of the prestigious award.
