ROHM to Host Oman World Folk Music Festival

Muscat, The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM),

will host musicians from Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas from

March 14 to 16, to join groups from the Sultanate, in a spectacular

festival entitled “Oman World Folk Music Festival”.

The festival is part of the efforts of the ROHM to celebrate the world

by highlighting the exceptional skill, artistic skill, beauty and diversity of

cultural expression in every country in the world. This diverse collection

of unique talents, coming from different parts of the world to the

ROHM, will present along with a number of Omani artists and

musicians, their music in a three-day festival. The ROHM will take its

audience on a musical journey around the world, led by pleasure and

beauty.

The festival will feature nine international groups to present their

countries’ unique history and unique traditions through this deeply

rooted music. Three international groups and one Omani group will

perform each day during the festival.

The audience of the ROHM will enjoy the festival’s activities on

Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 14, 15 and 16 at 7:30 pm.
