Royal Horse Racing Club to Organize Oman Derby Cup This Saturday

Muscat, The Royal Horse Racing Club (RHRC) will organize this Saturday the Omani Derby Cup at Al Rahba Horse Racing Track in the Wilayat of Barka.

The race, to be held under the patronage of Sayyid Said Sultan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture, will include eight rounds, seven of them for purebred Arabian horses and a race for purebred hybrid horses.

This race is one of the most prominent horse racing events in the Sultanate of Oman. On the sidelines of the race, some equestrian sports shows will be performed by the Royal Cavalry.

The first round of the race is allocated to purebred Arabian horses for a distance of 1600 metres.

The second round of the race is allocated to purebred Arabian horses (local production) for a distance of 1600 metres.

The third round is allocated to purebred Arabian horses (local production) for a distance of 1600 metres.

The fourth round is allocated to purebred Arabian horses for a distance of 2000 metres.

Meanwhile, the fifth round is allocated to purebred Arabian horses for a distance of 2000 meters.

The sixth round is allocated to purebred Arabian horses for a distance of 2000 meters (Omani Derby Cup).

As for the seventh round, it is allocated to purebred horses for a distance of 2,200 meters, and the eighth round is allocated to purebred Arabian horses, for a distance of 2,200 meters.
