ROYAL OMAN POLICE CELEBRATES ITS ANNUAL DAY

The Royal Oman Police (ROP), today celebrated its Annual Day.

The celebration was held at the Military Parade Field of the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences (SQAPS), in the Wilayat of Nizwa, the Governorate of A’Dakhiliyah, under the patronage of Dr. Ali bin Masud al- Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of Lt.Gen Hassan bin Mohsin al-Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, security services, members of the State Council and Majlis A’Shura, judges and local officials.

During the event, A’Dakhiliyah Police Command was announced as winner of the ROP Award for Criminal Research, which aims at raising awareness of the importance of criminal research. The award also aimed at enhancing competition, among Police formations, specialised in the field of criminal research, to improve their performance, limit the number of crimes, spot criminals and referring them to courts.

The Governorate of A’Dhahirah Police Command has been declared winner of the ROP Traffic Safety Competition – (A Role Model of Compliance).

The Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences was declared winner of the ROP competition for infantry, for the sixth consecutive time.
