Dubai, The State Audit Institution (SAI) took part today in symposium titled ” Enhancing Mechanisms of Preventing Corruption and Intensifying Measures to Combating Corruption During Crises”.

The symposium was held at the pavilion of the GCC Secretariat General in EXPO 2020 Dubai.

The symposium included two themes as the first one dealt with the measures of preventing corruption in crises through reviewing the role of institutional and societal integration and governance, as well as the role of digital transformation in preventing corruption during crises.

The second theme highlighted the lessons learned from combating corruption during crises.

The SAI presented a working paper on the experience of the Sultanate of Oman in dealing with Covid-19, besides highlighting the role of audit institutions during crises within the context of international standards and practices.
