Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud called on Tuesday the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, the Saudi News Agency (SPA) said.

During their conversation, the two sides discussed efforts to stop the military escalation between the conflicting parties in Sudan, and put an end to the violence witnessed on the sudanese lands.

Both sides discussed providing necessary protection to the Sudanese civilians and residents, ensuring security, stability, and well-being of Sudan and its people.

They also discussed the current situation in the African continent, regional and international developments, as well as issues of common interest
