Speaker highlights Bahrain’s approach on World Day against Trafficking in Persons

Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam affirmed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is applying a comprehensive approach in combating the crime of trafficking in persons.

The Speaker noted that Bahrain is a pioneering model in this field, which is emanated from its national values, humanitarian principles, and in compliance with international laws.

On the occasion of the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, which falls on July 30 of each year, Al Musallam said that the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and his continuous directives to combat the crime of trafficking in persons strengthened the position of the Kingdom in this field.

He affirmed that the Representatives’ Council is always keen to boost work in developing the legislative and oversight system in all fields, especially in combating trafficking in persons.
