Muscat, Speaker of the Council of Representatives Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal commended strong fraternal ties binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and Oman, describing them as a model to emulate in brotherly relations. She stressed strong fraternal relations between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, the Sultan of Oman.
The Speaker was speaking during a visit today, alongside her accompanying delegation, to the Omani Council of State where she was received by its Chairman, Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili.
Both sides reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on parliamentary issues of common interest.
The Speaker of the Council of Representatives affirmed that parliamentary cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman is a priority for the legislative branch in the Kingdom of Bahrain due to solid partnership and advanced coordination at all levels.
The Chairman of Oman’s Council of State praised the visit and the meeting with the Speaker of the Council of Representatives and her accompanying delegation, noting distinguished cooperation between the legislative branches in both countries. He also expressed keenness on further enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation to serve the common interests of both countries and peoples.
