SQU Organizes 1st Conference on Engineering Education Tuesday

The College of Engineering at Sultan

Qaboos University (SQU) in cooperation with the Omani Society for

Electrical, Electronic Engineers and the Military Technological College

will organize this Tuesday the first conference on engineering

education under the theme ‘graduates and future employment’.

The conference that will be held under the auspices of Dr. Muna bint

Salim al-Jardaniyah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower for

Technical Education and Vocational Training, provides the platform for

sharing of experiences and best practices on ensuring better

employment for graduates by forecasting the needs of the labor

market.

The conference will seek to assess how far the engineering study

programs in the Sultanate meet the current and future needs of the

labor market.

The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition for the

societies and companies interested in this field.
