Stamp launched to mark Muscat as Arab Digital Capital 2022

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology on Thursday launched a commemorative postal stamp on the occasion of Oman’s receiving the designation “Muscat Arab Digital Capital 2022”.

Oman merited the title, awarded by the council of Arab ministers of communications and information technology, due to the fact that the Sultanate of Oman laid solid foundation for technical structure, notably in the communications and information technology sector.

The stamp features a logo of the event that was endorsed by the ministers at the Arab League in 2021.

The design of the stamp depicts a virtual digital code of future generations. It incarnates the great transformation brought about by the communications and information technology sector at all levels of development.

The stamp inauguration ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Saud Hilal al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat.
