State Council Delegation Visits UK

A delegation of State Council led by

Honourable Saleh bin Mohammed al-Zakwani and including Nada bint

Hassan al-Jamliyah, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Said al-Bulushi, Eng.

Nashiah bint Saud al-Kharousiyah and Yahya bin Rasheed al-Juma

today headed to the UK on an official several-day visit in response to

an invitation by UK House of Lords.

The visit aims at enhancing parliamentary relations and sharing of

experiences.

The visit program includes meetings with a number of members of

the House of Lords to discuss with them horizons of cooperation

between the two councils in addition to reviewing the functions of the

House of Lords. The delegation will also review the legislative process

at the House of Lords and a presentation on the debates and

parliamentary questions.

It should be noted that besides the State Council’s members, the

delegation also includes Altaf bint Omar al-Marhoon, Assistant

Secretary General for Information and Research Center Affairs and

Alyaa bint Mahmoud al-Rahma, Deputy Director of International

Relations at the State Council.
