State Council To Discuss Commercial Companies Law Tomorrow

The State Council will hold on tomorrow / Tuesday / and Wednesday its 5th and 6th regular sessions of the third annual sitting of the sixth term under the chair of Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh al- Manthri, Chairman of the State Council.

The agenda of the 5th meeting includes a speech by the Chairman of the State Council, approving the minutes of the fourth meeting and discussing the draft ” Commercial Companies Law’, which was referred by the Council of Ministers, as well as the report of the Economic Committee about it.

The State Council will continue its discussions on the draft Commercial Companies Law on Wednesday and will approve the final draft of the State Council Internal Regulation , which was submitted by the legal committee. It will also discuss the proposal of the Legal Committee on ‘ studying and revising the land laws in the Sultanate ‘ to study them in the coming period.

The State Council will review a number of reports including a report on the 11th regular meeting for the heads of the GCC legislative councils which was held in Kuwait on January 8th and 9th 2018, a report on the State Council participation in the Federation of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation , which was held in Tehran on January 15th-17th 2018 , the report on the Omani Cultural exhibition at the European Parliament which was organized in Brussels, the report of the action team on CEDAW and the report on the recommendations of the first Oman Human Resources Forum (2018).
