Sultanate Embassy in South Korea Marks 47th National Day

Mohammed bin Salim al-Harthy, Sultanate’s Ambassador to South Korea hosted a reception at Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul on the occasion of the 47thGlorious National Day.

The Ambassador gave a welcome speech highlighting landmarks of the modern renaissance under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. He also underlined the Sultanate’s foreign policy, as well as dissemination of values of tolerance, coexistence and peace.

On his turn, the Korean Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered a speech affirming the good relations binding the Sultanate with South Korea, as well as the trade relations and the Sultanate’s role in old world trade. He added that the Sultanate retained its glory during the reign of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.

The Korean government was represented in the reception as a guest of honour by Son Byeong-seok, Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in the presence of former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Head of Protocols, Director General of the Middle East at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Korean officials and parliamentarians, as well as heads of Arab and foreign missions, media men and journalists, academics and representatives of cultural and civil institutions.

The attendees expressed their happiness and admiration of the Sultanate’s civilised heritage, marvelous landscapes, progress and growth in various fields, as well as its approach of tolerance, coexistence and dialogue.
