Sultanate, Romania Sign Mutual Visa Exemption Agreement

Muscat, An agreement on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, private and service passports was signed at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry today between the governments of the Sultanate and Romania.

The agreement was signed by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al-Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry and Teodor Melescanu, Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

During a press statement after the signing ceremony of agreement, the Romanian Foreign Affairs Minister highlighted the importance of deepening the bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Romania. He affirmed that the current visit of the Romanian delegation comes to promote ways of cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields of common interest. He hoped that there would be an exchange of visits between businessmen from both sides. He hailed the Sultanate’s good reputation, as well as the stability and security being enjoyed by the Sultanate at the global level.
