Syrian presidential adviser killed in road accident


Special Advisor to the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic Luna Al-Shibl succumbed to injuries she sustained in a road accident in Damascus on Tuesday afternoon.

Soon after the accident, Al-Shibl was admitted to intensive care unit of a Damascus hospital where she breathed her last, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Friday, citing a statement from the Political and Media Bureau of the Presidency.

Her car swerved violently off a road leading to the capital city of Syria and made several collisions.

Al-Shibl suffered fatal injuries and hemorrhage in the head which required ICU treatment, according a SANA report on July 2.
