The President of the Republic meets the Romanian Ambassador and stresses the importance of facilitating the granting of entry visas to Iraqis and providing direct flights between the two countries

Baghdad The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Romania to Iraq, Radu Octavian Dupre, who conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, to him.

During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to expand the horizons of cooperation to include various fields, as they talked about ways to support the economy in the country by supporting and diversifying investments to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

The President of the Republic indicated “the possibility of supporting the agricultural sector in the country, by benefiting from the expertise and technologies that Romania possesses, in a way that contributes to the development of the agricultural reality.”

Rashid discussed “ways to develop cultural cooperation with Romania, where the situation of Iraqi students studying there was discussed,” stressing “the necessity of facilitating the granting of entry visas to Iraqis and providing direct flights between the two countries.”

For his Part; Ambassador Dobri renewed “his country’s support for the President and the independence of Iraq and its pivotal role regionally and internationally, pointing to the fact that Iraq is one of the most important countries in the Middle East, stressing his country’s keenness to increase cooperation and bilateral work at all levels.”/ End
