The Sultanate Participates in ITB Berlin

The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Tourism, and tourism sector institutions and establishments, is participating in the ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-BAlrse Berlin) 2018 during the period from March 7th to 11th.

The delegation participating in the exhibition is led by Ahmed bin Nasser al-Mahrzi, Minister of Tourism.

ITB Berlin is the largest exhibition of its kind in the international tourism industry and the Sultanate is keen to participate annually in this exhibition, which began its first session in 1966, attracting annually more than ten thousand exhibitors from the most prominent organizations and government bodies overseeing the travel sectors and tourism, airlines, tourism institutions, companies and establishments operating in the industry, representing 185 countries around the world, are promoting and marketing their various tourism services, products and projects. 70 thousand persons visited the show last year.

The participation of the Ministry of Tourism and the Omani tourism sector in the show is important as it is the largest trade fair of its kind in the world, as well as for its size, quality of the participants and the specialized promotional and media platforms that it offers, in addition to its presentations, meetings and accompanying events.

It is worth noting that the Sultanate’s pavilion at ITB Berlin is witnessing the participation of 37 institutions, establishments and facilities to showcase its projects, services and products in the Omani tourism sector.
