The Sultanate’s Embassy in Khartoum Marks 49th Glorious National Day

Khartoum, Sheikh Dr. Sulaiman bin Saud al- Jabri, Sultanate’s Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan, hosted a reception at Al Salam Rotana Hotel in Khartoum on the occasion of the 49th Glorious National Day of the Sultanate. The ceremony was attended by Madani Abbas Madani, Minister of Industry and Trade representing the Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lt- Abdul Fattah Abdul Rahman Al Burhan.

The Ambassador delivered a speech in which he raised to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said the best wishes and congratulations on this great national occasion and to all the citizens of Oman, coupled with prayers to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty the Sultan and to grant him good health and a long life and to sustain on the people of Oman His blessing of security, stability, prosperity, progress, and development under the prosperous reign of His Majesty the Sultan, praising the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries to serve the common interests of the brotherly peoples.

The representative of the Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council also delivered a speech at the ceremony, during which he conveyed the congratulations of the Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council and the Prime Minister of Sudan to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and the Omani people on this glorious occasion. He hailed the Sultanate’s appreciated stances towrds Sudan and its loyal people which stems from the deep relations binding the two brotherly countries and gain strength from one day to another. He also praised the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan which made the Sultanate enjoy peace, security and stability and was able in a short span of time to achieve remarkable progress and renaissance in various political, economic and social fields, that entitled it to occupy the positions it deserves internationally and regionally.

The ceremony was attended by a number of ministers, their eminency, undersecretaries, a number of senior officials in civilian and military organs of the state, civil society organizations, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Sudan, a group of intellectuals, opinion leaders, experts, businessmen, media, brothers and friends of the Sultanate.
