More than 250,000 Palestinians performed the fourth and last Friday prayers of the fasting month of Ramadhan at Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday amidst tight Israeli security restrictions.

However, Israeli occupation forces denied hundreds of young Palestinians access to the mosque, and stepped up their military restrictions at checkpoints and deployed some 2,000 policemen there.

Israeli occupation police placed iron barricades in the streets and alleys of the Old City.

Israeli occupying forces have recently broken into Al-Aqsa Mosque compounds several times during the holy month of Ramadhan, and attacked and arrested scores of Palestinian worshippers
