1. Madayn, Galfar ink road and infrastructure construction project pact

The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) and Galfar Engineering and Contracting signed on Monday an agreement for roads and infrastructure construction at Mahas Industrial City in the Wilayat of Khasab in Musandam Governorate.

2. MSX index ends lower

The MSX index closed at 4,510.23 points, down by 0.44 per cent from the previous close. The Sharia Index ended up by 0.92 per cent at 482.99 points.

3. Oman Customs thwarts smuggling attempt in Hatta port

Oman Customs has foiled an attempt to smuggle more than 800 electronic cigarettes and 76 kilograms of tobacco derivatives into the Sultanate of Oman.

4. Over 70 expats arrested for entering Oman illegally

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested more than 70 expats for entering the Sultanate of Oman illegally.

ROP said in a statement :”The Coast Guard Police Station in the Wilayat of Shinas has arrested 73 infiltrators of Asian nationalities on a smuggling boat. The legal procedures are being completed against them.
