Tourism Ministry Inks Seven Usufruct Agreements

Muscat, The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism signed here today 7 land development (usufruct) agreements to set up tourism projects on government land plots registered at the ministry.

The projects include the construction of a 4-star hotel in the Wilayat of Mirbat featuring 100 rooms and restaurants, the Governorate of Dhofar, five tourism camps boasting 149 rooms in the Wilayat of Bidia, the Governorate of North A’Sharqiyah, restaurants and recreational facilities, and a project in Al Jabal Al Akhdar, Governorate of A’Dakhiliyah, comprising a set of restaurants, a glass cat-walk, open courtyards and children’s playground.

The agreements highlight the ministry’s efforts to boost investments in the tourism sector and keep pace with economic developments aimed to diversify sources of income. The projects will provide employment opportunities for the local population.
