The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology will introduce in 1 June, Aber taxi-meter mobile app to determine the transportation tariff for public taxis.
Introducing this digital meter “Aber” aims to regulate taxis in the Sultanate of Oman, in line with the plans of using modern digital technologies. The drive also comes in implementation of the Ministerial Decision No. 195/2018 on determining the transportation tariff for public taxis in Oman.
