Istanbul, The Turkish artist Soner Göktürk used an innovative form of art by carving impressive calligraphy on leaves. The artist transforms leaves to works of art that brim with life and creativity.
Göktürk said to Oman News Agency (ONA) that his artistic journey began when he was a university student. He said that looking at leaves invokes our senses as they fall of trees and dry up while the tree branches sprout new leaves.
The artist collects fallen leaves and dries them up until they are ready to be used as canvases for his art. This form of art requires precision and a long duration of time to form the desired outcome.
