Turkiye decries Jewish settlers’ ripping up of Quran

Turkiye on Friday strongly condemned Jewish settlers’ ripping up of the Holy Quran while breaking into a mosque in Urif Town in the West Bank’s City of Nablus.

In a press release, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said Turkiye vehemently denounced the Jewish settlers’ aggression, voicing concern over the renewed tension in the region in recent days.

“We condemn the attack perpetrated by a group of Jewish settlers on our holy book by entering a mosque in the town of Urif in Palestinian territories under Israeli occupation,” the ministry said.

The Turkish ministry called for bringing the perpetrators of this “unacceptable hate crime” to justice as soon as possible.
