UAE TO HOST 46TH CONFERENCE OF ARAB POLICE and SECURITY LEADERS ON MONDAY

The United Arab Emirates will host in Abu Dhabi upcoming Monday, for two days, the forty-sixth conference of Arab police and security leaders.

Arab police and security chiefs and senior security officials in various Arab countries will participate in the conference, as well as representatives of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and the African Union Mechanism for Police Cooperation, the European Law Enforcement Training Agency, the European Commission’s Counter-Terrorism and Criminal Justice Project, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the Arab Police Sports Federation.

The conference will discuss a number of important topics on its agenda, including: money laundering crimes, the importance of the role played by the official security spokesperson, recommendations of conferences of heads of security sectors and committee meetings held within the framework of the General Secretariat during the year 2022, and a report on the work of the Arab Police Sports Federation for the year 2022, and will review some distinguished security experiences of some Member States.

Additionally, the conference will consider a draft Arab strategy to combat crimes of human trafficking and human organs prepared by a specialized committee that convened within the framework of the General Secretariat earlier this year.
