Britain has slapped a new round of sanctions against Belarus for Minsk’s continued support of Russia’s war against Ukraine, the government said on Thursday.

The sanctions mainly entail an import ban on gold, cement, wood and rubber from Belarus, all of which constitute a major source of revenue for Minsk.

The latest round of sanctions are in addition to a previous package worth USD 75 million imposed on the Belarusian regime, which banned the export of oil refining goods, technology and luxury goods from London to Belarus.
