Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, received, in Kyiv, Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on the occasion of his official visit to Ukraine.

Dr. Al Zayani expressed happiness about visiting Ukraine, stressing Bahrain’s keenness on bolstering cooperation with it to serve common interests. He praised the steady development of bilateral cooperation, affirming Bahrain’s concern about maintaining peace and security in the European Continent and the world. He reiterated Bahrain’s stance calling for an end to the war in Ukraine and to start direct negotiations to reach a political solution to the crisis. He wished the Ukrainian people peace, security and prosperity.

The Verkhovna Rada Chairman welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressing that his official visit to Ukraine reflects keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to further cement ties of friendship binding the two countries. He voiced his country’s appreciation of Bahrain’s efforts to promote peace, tolerance and coexistence. He underlined Ukraine’s interest in enhancing bilateral cooperation, wishing Bahrain further development and prosperity.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Germany Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, Director General of the Foreign Ministry Affairs Ambassador Talal Abdulsalam Al-Ansari, Ukrainian Ambassador to Bahrain, residing in Abu Dhabi, Dmytro Senik, and the accompanying delegation of the Foreign Minister.
