The Ministry of Social Development today held a meeting to study the progress made in a project to establish “Integrated Early Childhood Development Centres”.
The project aims to provide early childhood services within specific geographical locations in an integrated manner through cooperation among the sectors concerned. It focuses on means of improving health and educational services offered to children in accordance with internationally approved standards and methodologies.
The project covers measures of raising public awareness about the importance of early childhood development, the application of concepts of early intervention and the consolidation of different types of intelligence in early childhood.
