Muscat, The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning today signed 19 land development (usufruct) agreements in various sectors and in different governorates. The project, worth RO 3 million, will be set up on a total area exceeding 372,000 square meters.

The agreements were signed with the companies executing the projects by Dr. Mohammed Ali Al Mutawa, the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Urban Planning.

The agreements include the establishment of a service centre, a multipurpose hall, factories to produce building material and ready-mix concrete, as well as a water desalination unit.

Moreover, twenty-two usufruct contracts were offered for e-bidding on the “Tatweer” or “Development” platform. The respective land plots are distributed among the Governorates of Muscat, South Al Batinah and Dhofar.
