The Weather Service Department of Meteorology expected the weather on Monday to be partly cloudy to cloudy with no change in temperature, with casual rain and snow at altitudes of 700 meters and above, especially in the north. It anticipated a gradual improvement in the weather as of noon, while the risk of ice and fog continues on highlands and indoors as of 600 meters and above.

In its detailed forecast, the Department indicated the following:

General situation: The influence of the cold air masses lead to light snowfall at low levels below 600 meters in the northern and interior regions, with temperatures at their lowest this year, starting from Sunday morning.

The expected weather in Lebanon:

Sunday: Partly cloudy with slight decrease in temperature, morning rain sometimes coupled with snowfall at altitudes of 600 meters and above in the northern regions, and the weather gradually improves as of noon while waves of frosts lead to the formation of ice on mountain roads along with layers of fog on the heights.

Monday: Partly cloudy to cloudy sometimes with slight change in temperature, sporadic rain coupled with snowfall at altitudes of 700 meters and above, especially in the north of the country, and the weather gradually improves as of noon and the risk of snow and ice on the heights and at home continues as of 600 meter altitudes, with the appearance of fog on the highlands.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy to partially cloudy with a rise in temperature, gradually turning in the afternoon to cloudy and light rain falls during the night of Tuesday / Wednesday morning, and snow falls at an altitude of 1000 m and above.

On the coast from 8 to 12 degrees

Over the mountains from -2 to 2 degrees

On the inside from 0 to 3 degrees
