Muscat, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organisation, today visited the Covid-19 immunization venue at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.

He had a close look at target segments’ ongoing vaccination process, being part of the National Immunization Campaign.

Dr. Tedros listened to a detailed account of the immunization process, including stages of registration and reception of individuals and the administration of doses amid dedicated adherence to precautionary measures.

Dr. Tedros watched a visual presentation about the development of the epidemiological situation in the Sultanate since the registration of the first case in February 2020.

The presentation included a section about the “National Immunization Campaign Against Covid-19”. It displayed the number of individuals who received the first dose and the second dose and reflected the great public response to the National Immunization Campaign Against Covid-19.
