Undersecretary of the Bahraini Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received on Monday visiting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in US State Department’s Bureau of Arms Control, Verification and Compliance (AVC) Paul Dean.
During the meeting, they reviewed various aspects of cooperation and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US in the political, economic and security fields, according to a press release from the Bahraini ministry.
They stressed the importance of enhancing international efforts to prevent the risks of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, ensure cyber security, and consolidate security, stability in the Middle East.
Sheikh Abdullah underlined Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination with the AVC, the statement noted.
He stressed the importance of sharing information and expertise in sush areas as modern technologies, artificial intelligence, arms control and peaceful use of nuclear energy.
