Muscat, The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in collaboration with Al Nimr Expo, will launch Oman Sustainable Food Safety and Quality Management Fair tomorrow (Tuesday).

The fair will be opened under the patronage of Dr. Saud Hamoud al-Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.

Held via video conferencing, the two-day event comes as per the activities of the Food Safety Week.

The fair aims at upgrading food safety level in Oman in accordance with international standards targeting quality control and ensuring the safety of producing, processing, selling, distributing, and showcasing various foodstuff.

The conference will see the participation of government and private entities concerned with monitoring food safety at local and international levels.

The conference will address several themes, such as food processing, safety and quality, food safety systems and innovative techniques, food safety legislation, and food sustainability and safety challenges.
