Oman Participates in World Green Economy Summit 2022

Dubai, Represented by the Ministry of Economy and the Environment Authority, the Sultanate of Oman took part in the 8th edition of the World Green Economy Summit (WGES) 2022 here today.

The two-day event discusses many topics, including energy, development financing, food security and youth empowerment.

The summit seeks to enhance the transformation to green economy and the acceleration of sustainable development, in preparation for the 27thUN climate summit (COP 27) scheduled to be held in Egypt, as well as the 28thround of the summit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The summit highlights efforts and action plans to combat adverse effects of climate change, in addition to initiatives to help the world realize future sustainable development goals through the shift to green economy.

Experts and specialists taking part in the summit will address the topics of summit from the perspective of different sectors such as green technologies, smart cities, urban planning, youth engagement, investments and funding.
