Video- What is the story of the financial fraud that citizens were exposed to under the name of commercial Hajj?

Bethlehem – Together – Hossam Abu Al-Rub, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, said that all the pilgrims from the northern governorates arrived in Medina, numbering 5,000 male and female pilgrims, and all of them were fine, while no pilgrims were able to leave Gaza this year.

Abu Al-Rub added, in his interview with Ma’an TV, that Gaza’s share of pilgrims will remain reserved for next year, and this is what the ministry has worked on by communicating with Saudi Arabia in this regard, and keeping Gaza’s share as it is without exhausting it, and there is also a possibility of increasing Gaza’s share next year. There will be arrangements with Saudi Arabia in this regard.

Regarding the cases of fraud to which some citizens were exposed in Palestine, Abu Al-Rub explained that during the last days, the Ministry received complaints from citizens about cases of fraud to which they were exposed from some offices, and they were returned from the Saudi border.

He continued, ‘All regular
pilgrims entered Saudi Arabia, but some pilgrims were victims of fraud by some offices, and the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs issued more than one circular to educate citizens about this issue, stressing that the Ministry is responsible for the pilgrims who leave through the offices that the Ministry deals with.’ And licensed by it.

Regarding the nature of the offices that were installed on citizens, Abu Al-Rub said that there are fake offices that were installed on citizens, and there are some well-known offices as well, and the Ministry is responsible for the offices registered with the Ministry of Endowments only, and works within the agreed upon system.

He continued, ‘Any citizen who is exposed to fraud by any company registered by the Ministry will follow up on the matter and restore the citizens’ rights, but the Ministry is not responsible for fake offices outside the scope of the Ministry of Endowments, and citizens can go to the courts regarding this matter.’
