/8 / Syrian refugee children and a woman were killed in a house fire in northwest of Turkey

Istanbul Eight children and a woman were killed in a fire that broke out in an apartment building inhabited by Syrian refugees in the northwestern Turkish state of Bursa.

A source in the state police said in a press statement that the fire broke out in the four-storey apartment building in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and it is likely that it was caused by a heater on the ground floor, which resulted in the killing of eight Syrian refugee children and a woman.

The source indicated that the victims are six brothers between the ages of one and 10 years, their mother, aged 31, and two of their cousins, aged between 10 and 11 years.

It is reported that about four million Syrian refugees reside in Turkey.
