Baghdad / NINA / – The head of the Iraqi delegation to the meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) currently being held in Kigali, the capital of the Republic of Rwanda, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, met with the Omani delegation headed by Sheikh Khalid bin Mishaal.

During the meeting, according to a statement by Abdullah’s office, the most important files related to raising the level of coordination mechanisms and joint parliamentary cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

The two sides stressed the importance of continuing to support and assist Iraq in its endeavors to confront challenges and crises, and put pressure on neighboring countries to solve problems, foremost of which is the issue of repeated attacks on its lands and the water file./End
